Performer: Federica Vitali

Franco Zeffirelli’s Aida – compact yet simultaneously monumental – is thrilling revived at the tiny Teatro Verdi in Busseto.

One of Teatro San Carlo’s most cherished productions of recent years, with an excellent cast of singers and a director who steered at his ease into the libretto’s erratic changes of mood and atmosphere.

A clever production enlivens a rare, early opera at the Donizetti Opera Festival. A fantastic cast and a great period orchestra seal a resounding success under the lead of Alessandro De Marchi.

The Donizetti Opera Festival presents a rarity with a good cast of bel canto specialists in a somewhat disappointing production.
