With Tchaikovsky’s music, glittering visual spectacle and wonderful dancers, The Australian Ballet's The Sleeping Beauty is a thrilling night at the ballet.

In the first revival of National Ballet of Canada's 2022 Swan Lake, a strong corps de ballet and star turn by Genevieve Penn Nabity almost overcome a muddled visual concept. 

Turco inspired many a great opera director in the past; understandably, as it offers plenty of splendid comic situations. Simon Phillips' hilarious 2014 production is revived by Opera Australia.

Charming and hilarious by turn, this production fields a largely young and Kiwi cast.
