Performer: I Fagiolini

In their Lammermuir Festival debut, I Fagiolini strike spiritual and musical gold with the Monteverdi Vespers... at least in the first half.

Well defined performances of Monteverdi madrigals are sung with I Fagiolini’s customary ease and involvement. 

I Fagiolini and the English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble give a very special performance at Kings Place. 

The Scottish Ensemble is joined by I Fagiolini in a Winter Chorale linking ancient and modern music for Advent and Christmas. 

I Fagiolini's very interesting programme of music by Monteverdi and his contemporaries pulls together a wide range of works, but somehow lacks an ensemble feel. 

Robert Hollingworth and I Fagiolini provide a whistle-stop tour of Monteverdi's different styles, from madrigals to opera, dance and sacred music, with a newly commissioned contrast from former member Roderick Williams.
