Using Stephen Medcalf’s 2008 staging, this opening night of love and loneliness was a feast for the eyes, a musical triumph and a dramatic tour-de-force that tugged at the heart strings.

Thanks to Wilson, to an orchestra in great shape, and to an excellent cast, this production was a success. Everybody did his best in the orchestra and in the chorus, without disregarding the soring passages of the score.

L’Opéra de Rouen Haute Normandie ouvre sa saison lyrique avec Norma. Musicalement intéressante, cette production souffre néanmoins d'une mise en scène qui rencontre quelques limites dans son ambition.
