Classical drama transformed into chamber music: Moreau and Kadouch play Rita Strohl in Gstaad

What a pleasure it was to see the effervescent Marc Minkowski conducting a programme of 20th-century French music with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. It was certainly a lively and well-thought-out concert, with Minkowski bringing all the clarity and detailed awareness of colour that he has bought to his performances of early music.

Martha Argerich joined the Manchester Camerata and her friend Gábor Takács-Nagy for a memorable evening of Bartók, Beethoven and Pärt at the Manchester International Festival.

To say that the diminutive Mr Kadouch is a very gifted young pianist with a brilliant technique and a bright future is an understatement. The program overall was very well-played.

When a young talent confirms his musical promise it a lovely thing to hear and to see. This is the case with French pianist David Kadouch who performed at the Verbier Festival on Saturday.Last year David was awarded the "Prix d’honneur" at the Verbier Festival Academy which entitled him to play at this year's Festival.
