Maxim Emelyanychev forges connections between composers ancient and modern, but it's the Baroque composers who come off best as played by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

The Orchestra of St. Luke's and Bernard Labadie came up with the excellent idea of a Bach-centered festival in New York. 

Interleaving Bach violin concertos with Haydn symphonies, the ACO give an energetic performance in the Sydney Opera House, with highlight solos from Richard Tognetti and Helena Rathbone.
