The Canadian pianist plays a Carnegie Hall programme exploring he expressive depths of Russian music, with Tchaikovsky's The Seasons as a frame. 

Now in its 23rd year, the festival offers a broader perspective on its namesake's influences and music as this program by the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and Paavo Järvi demonstrates. 

Russian pianist Pavel Kolesnikov gave a refined and intimate performance of works by Fryderyk Chopin in the penultimate Chamber Prom of the 2017 season.
