Work: Keyboard Concerto no. 4 in A major, BWV1055

On their farewell Asian tour, András Schiff and his group Cappella Andrea Barca offer a programme of Bach's keyboard concertos performed in the spirit and style of chamber music.

David Fray's mannered Bach is a let-down, but Karl-Heinz Steffens brings out the spacious majesty in Bruckner's Ninth Symphony. 

An enlightening concert: a barely known composer esteemed in his day, an instrument we rarely hear in Baroque concertos and an early classical work for four, yes, four soloists.
