Work: The Maid of Orleans

Director Dmitri Tcherniakov and a talented cast do everything to make Tchaikovsky’s opera work in Amsterdam, but problematic elements persist. 

It is all very easy on the eyes, although pondering what it is all supposed to mean is a recipe for a migraine.

Disparaged by critics and his fellow musicians, Tchaikovsky's The Maid of Orléans is performed by Odyssey Opera.
