Work: Ya li v pole da ne travushka bila? (Was I not a little blade of grass?), Op.47 no. 7

This is no Liederabend with singers taking their turn to file up to the piano. It’s a fully staged drama in which baritone Vladislav Sulimsky’s character reflects on his past loves and losses.

It was an afternoon of pure delight as Anna Netrebko presented a full program of Russian art songs acompanied by an excellent pianist colleague.
