In Machos, Pynarello ventures into the rugged and unpolished landscape of Southern European Baroque music, searching for the macho and the anti-macho. Are machos always men? Can a macho also be sensitive? Is there a macho lurking within everyone? And can anything be done about it?
All stereotypes of the macho are examined, challenged, and played with. The concert is one big battle between musicians, the Dutch breakdancer Neo Janes, and composers, in which everyone fights for their place. Of course, there is muscular music by virtuoso macho composers like Vivaldi and Tartini, but in addition, Pynarello’s own violinist and composer Jeffrey Bruinsma explores the anti-macho in an overture he wrote himself.
Tickets: From € 29,00
