| Vincent van Amsterdam | Accordion |
| Quirine Viersen | Cello |
Vincent van Amsterdam and Quirine Viersen present a program featuring a wide range of styles and timbres. The journey spans from the Baroque era to the 20th century. For these two musicians, with their unique combination of instruments, the ongoing search for new, suitable repertoire is a wonderful journey of discovery.
From the magnificent architecture of J.S. Bach to the raw yet deeply profound dance music of Piazzolla. In between, a few preludes by Lera Auerbach, which are almost minimalist—they convey so much with so few words—and Mendelssohn’s Lieder ohne Worte, which fit in so beautifully, with the same intention. Finally, in her Trois Pièces, Nadia Boulanger builds a beautiful bridge from Romanticism to modernity.
