In the nearly two decades since violist Roberto Díaz has been President of the Curtis Institute of Music, he has been featured with PCMS over a dozen times as a guest artist or in programs he helped to create. Díaz’s appearances have always captivated our audiences, and for his 15th performance with the Society, he collaborates with three of his close musical friends for an afternoon of French and Russian masterworks. The program concludes with an early work by Fauré—his passionate C Minor Piano Quartet, which inhabits a world of shimmering colors and buoyant effortless motion.
