Refreshed and enlivened after his break from playing, Vengerov is sounding like a virtuoso reborn. Here he joins his regular performing partner Itamar Golan for piano-accompanied violin music including Elgar’s elusive and delicate Violin Sonata and Prokofiev’s wit-strewn Second Violin Sonata. Expect something concurrently breathtaking and intimate from this true master of virtuosic performance. The recital finishes at approximately 10pm
