Welcome to a new season of Resonance — where even our salon insists on resonating. The music and films will be serious… the rest of us, thankfully, less so.
The first concert opens with the playful title Boundless B.
At first, the idea seemed almost too traditional: why not simply honor the great three Bs — Bach, Beethoven, and Brahms?
But why stop there…?
Very quickly it became clear that the letter B is practically endless:
Bruckner, Bruegel, Bernini, Bergman, Bresson…
(Not to mention those I secretly admire less — or not at all — Bosch, Bertolucci, Bruch).
At that point my daughter laughed: “Papa, this is totally random! You should add all the composers starting with S — it’s an even more popular letter…”
The list was irresistible — Scarlatti, Schubert, Schumann, Stravinsky, Scriabin, Shostakovich… ahhh.
But then came the realization: in English, that would spell nothing but BS. You see the problem?
So in the end, the choice remained firmly with the B.
Yet Boundless B is not truly random — it only seems so initially. The rest of the season’s themes are shaped by experience, carried out with urgency, and each program is an experiment in making sense of life, art, and what truly moves us.
None of this would be possible without our performers (and generous sponsors). This season again brings artists of the highest caliber — names that speak for themselves, with virtuosity, depth, and individuality that make every performance unforgettable.
A little practical note: our last few concerts sold out quickly, and as you know, the hall is intimate — seats have a way of disappearing before one even notices. To avoid writing to me at the very last moment in search of a miracle ticket, I warmly suggest reserving your seats early.
