| Christina Nilsson | Soprano |
| Magnus Svensson | Piano |
For the Lied series, pianist Magnus Svensson invites an exclusive group of artists from the world’s leading opera houses and concert stages, offering us the opportunity to experience their vocal artistry in intimate encounters in Grünewald Hall.
In recent years, Christina Nilsson has taken the most prestigious stages of the opera world by storm, captivating both audiences and critics. This season, she returns to Konserthuset on several occasions: for this Lied recital, for the outdoor concert Philharmonic in the Park in August, and with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra on 19 and 21 November, when she performs Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder.
In this recital in Grünewald Hall – Christina Nilsson’s fourth since 2016 – we hear her in both German and Swedish repertoire, with a core programme of lieder by Schubert and Wolf, Swedish songs by Nystroem and Rangström, and late-Romantic passion in music by Richard Strauss.
