In his debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Vasily Petrenko will be at the helm of the celebrated musical journey that is Mahler’s Symphony No.2, ‘Resurrection’.

The all-embracing work, scored for a massive orchestra, will culminate in a heart-stirring and divine choral finale performed by the Philharmonia Chorus.

The Chief Conductor of both the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Oslo Philharmonic Orchestras, Vasily Petrenko has been described as 'a conductor of crisp technical assurance and interpretive depth… with a podium manner that suggests quiet mastery and elicits rich, rhythmically cohesive playing from the orchestra.' -- (Joshua Kosman,San Francisco Chronicle)

This grand-scale and revelational masterpiece will be a performance not to be missed.
