A triumphant world premiere from a young choreographer. A poor choice of pas de deux for Paris Opera étoiles. Three bracing solos. A strenuously sexy duet: Misty Copeland’s Ballet Festival.

A triple bill comprising Balanchine's Symphony in C, Agon and Firebird could not have been more inspiringly danced by New York City Ballet.

The melancholy ending was a fitting farewell between ballerina and ballet. The heartmelting, beautiful Duo Concertant alone was worth the entire price of admission.
