Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) close their 25/26 season with an ambitious triple bill running for just four performances on their home turf at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

Not every Ashton work is a masterpiece, but Sarasota Ballet presents these Ashton works with such love and care, it ensures that even if the ballets won’t “keep”, they aren’t forgotten.

A memorable and important event in the history of British ballet, sensitively and sentimentally performed. 

It’s heartening so see that the state of classical ballet is strong and there are many talented young dancers being nurtured to take their places in the top companies of the world.

The penultimate programme of The Royal Ballet’s season takes the audience on a journey, from a joyous celebration with seven imperially dressed ballerinas, to a summer dacha filled with tense emotions, and finally back in time to the ceremonial rites of a Russian peasant wedding.
