A purer form of co-ordinated dance would be hard to imagine.

For China’s choreographic rising star, Tao Ye, numbers hold a pivotal significance. He works in numbered series, compiling a neat catalogue of minimalist, experimental dance that can be performed alone or sit buttressed up against each other. 

The internationally acclaimed Tao Dance Theatre presents Weight x 3 and 2 at the National Centre for the Pwrforming Arts, Beijing, for the first time.

8 et 9 reposent sur le « système de mouvement circulaire » pensé par Tao Ye et sont pourtant très différentes que ce soit dans la dynamique ou la structure de la pièce.
