A recital of two halves for the Moscow-born pianist in her long overdue Carnegie Hall debut. 

The Russian pianist returns to the stage of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia with a very unusual programme, from a Bach fantasia to Rachmaninov's romances.   

Armed with extraordinary precision, the Russian pianist brings as much elegance to his compatriots Rachmaninov and Scriabin as he does to Schubert.

In performing the Vespers in the acoustically wonderful Milton Court, Jeffrey Skidmore took the imaginative decision to interleaving its movements with solo piano works, played by Steven Osborne. It proved inspirational programming.
