The Salzburg Festival's production of Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld is another classic in the making from Barrie Kosky.

Vasily Petrenko conducted the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and a fine trio of principals in an excellent semi-staged production of Puccini’s Tosca, directed by Amy Lane.The two performances of the opera form the culmination of Bryn Terfel’s two-week stint as Artist in Residence with the orchestra.

La production reprenait mise en scène, décors et costumes de la création toulousaine 2008-2009 amenée à l’époque par Michel Plasson et Nicolas Joel, et qui avait connu un succès certain, des Chorégies d’Orange à la ville rose. La part d’inconnue résidait surtout dans le plateau et l’individualité des voix.
