A fitting farewell for Leif Ove Andsnes' Rosendal Chamber Music Festival: imaginative programming and excellent performances in an inspiring setting. 

Renaud Capuçon brings his customary taste, refinement and intellect to music he has played many times over the years with a variety of partners – here Julia Hagen and Igor Levit. 

The wonderful acoustics of Milton Court proved to be the ideal setting for dramatic performances of rarely performance repertoire. With Igor Levit at the helm the evening was both technically challenging and artistically stimulating for audience and performers alike.

Mit Debussys La Mer und Ravels Boléro bringen die litauische Dirigentin und das Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France zwei Evergreens nach Luzern. Und Julia Hagen brilliert in Elgars Cellokonzert. 

Mit einer packenden Interpretation von Schumanns Cellokonzert erwies sich Julia Hagen als würdige Gewinnerin des UBS Young Artist Award. Und die Wiener unter Christian Thielemann sorgten mit Bruckners Erster für Aufsehen.

Au sein du week-end de clôture du festival aixois, deux concerts ont joliment mis à l'honneur la jeune génération de la musique de chambre aux côtés de Gil Shaham et Renaud Capuçon.

Le quintette de joyeux trublions a conclu la journée du samedi en revisitant le Quintette pour clarinette et cordes de Johannes Brahms, sans toutefois parvenir à électriser les foules.

Au Rosendal Chamber Music Festival, le duo a proposé une interprétation de référence de la Première Sonate pour violoncelle et piano de Brahms.
