The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and its former Music Director thunder in Disney Hall in the latest stop on their US tour.

British composer Thomas Adès conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker in a custom-made programme, also featuring Pekka Kuusisto's hypnotic violin-playing.

Works of Adès and Walton – both of special significance to The Cleveland Orchestra – precede a lush Sibelius 5 at Severance Music Center. 

The CBSO explored a plethora of Romantic ideas in a trio of symphonies, including a premiere from Thomas Adès.
