In 2012, Max Richter released his interpretation of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons as part of Deutsche Grammophon’s Recomposed series. The familiar notes were chopped up, amplified, altered, and repeated. “A subtle and often moving piece of work, suggesting that after years of dull disco and trance versions of Mozart, the realm of the classical remix has finally become interesting,” wrote The Telegraph. Top violinist Isabelle van Keulen endorses this at the highest level.

Thanks to the advertising industry or film music, everyone is familiar with excerpts from these four violin concertos that give voice to spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
