A refreshing mix of classical music (Mozart, Brahms & Dvořák), jazz, folk and pop
They turn the Allegretto of Ludwig van Beethoven’s 7th Symphony into a steamy gypsy jazz number and Richard Wagner’s opera drama “Tristan and Isolde” into a yearning tango. The seven boys of Philharmonix know no stylistic limits for their highly musical mix. Most of them play with the Vienna Philharmonic or the Berlin Philharmonic. This is why they call their septet “Vienna Berlin Music Club” which also includes pianist Christoph Traxler and violinist Sebastian Gürtler. Here, everyone brings their own music, which they rearrange, embellish with improvisations and spice up a bit. These can be classics such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johannes Brahms or Antonín Dvořák, and even an Australian folk song like “Waltzing Matilda” resounds in a completely new way. This virtuoso boy band also has its own compositions. So there will be plenty of fireworks on Swiss National Day.
