Icons

The twelve concerts over ten days (31 July – 9 August 2026) are themed around “Icons”, which refers not only to iconic works, but also to artists who have become true role models in their field

About the festival

The 2026 festival will be held under the theme “Icons”, bringing together leading artists such as Bryn Terfel, Miloš, Maurice Steger and Sir András Schiff. Alongside the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen conducted by Edward Gardner and the Camerata Salzburg under Antonello Manacorda, the programme features chamber music with the Pacific Quintet and Septura Brass, a film music concert to Amadeus, and, as its grand finale on 9 August, Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante and Elgar’s Enigma Variations with Veronika Eberle and Timothy Ridout – marking David Whelton’s farewell as Artistic Director.

Venues

Arena Klosters
In the centre of Klosters, the Arena is a modern, multifunctional sports and event centre. It is formed by the two new halls Arena 1 and Arena 2, which together with the foyer offer space for events of all kinds from 100 to 3500 people.

How to get there
By car or train, please visit our website (also in English) for some further details (link)

Local accommodation
There are plenty of different accommodation in Klosters (four stars hotels, BnB, Airbnb). Please visit the website of Tourism Klosters Davos for more informations. Make sure to choose Town “Klosters” on the right side (for showing only accommodations in Klosters).

What can tourists visit nearby?
Activities include 700km of hiking trails, golf courses (grandiose panoramic view of the majestic mountain peaks), mountainbiking, stand up paddling on Lake Davos and many other experiences for families and for the more adventurous (like a paraglider and hand glider).

Dress code
There’s no dress code given, but as Klosters Music is a high-profile social event, it requires an appropriate fashion.

Food & Drink
Since the concerts are exclusively in the evening, there’ll be served champagne and other drinks in case the epidemiological situation allows it. Furthermore we recommend in general the high quality cuisine of Klosters in various restaurants, mountain restaurants with tradition and also coffee shops in the village itself.

Why should you go to the festival?
Klosters Music guarantees extraordinary series of concerts with international and renowned stars in an exclusive setting in the fascinating mountain world of Klosters.

St. Jacob’s Church
The church of St. Jacob in Klosters is the main concert room for Klosters Music. The building is fabulous for its acoustic and warmth atmosphere.

In the church of St. Jacob itself there is always something unknown to discover or old familiar things to see with new eyes.

There’s the history of the church's origins, the exciting interior of the church tower and the wonderful stained glass windows by Augusto Giacometti.

And last but not least St. Jacob’s Church has a wonderful new organ, built by Orgelbau Goll in Luzern and inaugurated in October 2018.
