Andris Nelsons is a young master garnering the incredible reputation of the world’s top orchestras and soloists of today. He was appointed the 15th music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 2014, and is held in high regard as a key component in creating the best combination of a conductor and orchestra. After receiving consecutive Grammy Awards in 2016 and 2017, he was honoured with the award a third time in 2019. This prominent international combination will make a return to Japan for the first time in five years since 2017. Plus, pianist Mitsuko Uchida makes an appearance as a soloist, making it a performance you simply cannot miss. Various other plans, such as open rehearsal and a school programme, are scheduled in addition to the main performance.
