A rare opportunity to hear an all-star cast in a neglected jewel by Pagliacci composer, Leoncavallo, this concert is a treat for any opera lover.
Zazà was a runaway success following its Milan premiere in 1900. Here Ermonela Jaho (Mimi, Angelica, and Manon at the Royal Opera House) takes on the role of the Parisian music hall singer, Zazà, whose conscience is pricked when she discovers her lover, Milio, is married. Italian specialist Maurizio Benini leads a wonderful cast, who will have just spent a week recording the work for Opera Rara.
