Tianyi Lu triumphs in her return to Montreal with a distinctive approach to Tchaikovsky's Fifth. Pierre-Laurent Aimard gives a spirited performance of Bartók's Third Piano Concerto.

The Hallé, conducted by Tianyi Lu, give a magnificent account of Dvořák's Cello Concerto with Alban Gerhardt and Brahms' Third Symphony. 

Four very pictographic pieces: from early Puccini, through Dukas and Stravinsky to the present-day Spanish composer Francisco Coll. Neatly painted by the performers and with nothing to unduly scare the horses.
