Tenor Nicky Spence and mezzo Václava Krejčí Housková thrill with a theatrical take on Janáček's The Diary of One Who Disappeared with pianist Julius Drake. 

Viktor Ullmann's scarily prescient anti-fascist work has great music but can be confusing; Moravian Theatre Olomouc's production is marred by poor balance between orchestra and voices.
