Anthony Roth Costanzo's multidisciplinary project arrives at the BBC Proms in the grungy, industrial space of Printworks London, but music seems a long way down the pecking order. 

Costanzo supposed to be the unifying factor of the performance, but he wasn’t always able to surpass the numerous distractions. 

For most of us, the word ‘experimental’ probably provokes images of brass instruments filled with washing-up liquid or electrically manipulated sneezing sounds. But experimental doesn’t have to mean mental: it can simply refer to something original, something done differently.
