Obituary: Christoph von Dohnányi

Michael Tilson Thomas, the American conductor, composer and educator, has died at the age of 81.

The Swedish-born ballet star shaped generations of dancers and left a lasting imprint on British and international ballet. 

The new work will include the bells being cast for the eighteen towers of the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, which is expected to be completed in 2026 after 144 years.
