Schubert’s String Quintet was certainly a crowd-puller at this concert, as Kings Place's Cello Unwrapped series continues. 

Stately fun and stormy exoticism: Maxim Vengerov appears as soloist and conductor in a programme of Beethoven and Rimsky-Korsakov at the Barbican.

Le Belcea Quartet donnait un trio (Beethoven), un quatuor (Brahms) et un sextuor (Schoenberg) au Wigmore Hall de Londres. Une belle soirée, sans défauts majeurs et caractérisée par une interprétation prometteuse, mais qui n'est pas allée jusqu'au bout de l'émotion.

Au centre du week-end "Love Stories" à la Philharmonie, l'Orchestre de Paris donnait un concert autour de "L’Amour interdit", avec Fabien Gabel à la direction. Au programme Wagner, Strauss, Debussy : de très beaux moments, mais un Don Quichotte un peu en-dessous.
