Our Easter concert brings together masterpieces that radiate lightness, elegance, and a connection to nature. Sergei Prokofiev's "Classical Symphony" opens the evening with charm and wit. Inspired by Haydn, Prokofiev wrote a symphony that combines tradition with modernity - airy, clear, and full of surprising twists.
At the center of the concert is Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major, a true masterpiece of classical music. François Leleux, one of the most outstanding oboists of our time, not only conducts but also brings to life the lyrical beauty and dance-like lightness of this work as a soloist.
Finally, Beethoven's "Pastoral Symphony" is perhaps the quintessential musical portrait of nature in classical music. From peaceful country life, the babbling of a brook to stormy weather with lightning and thunder, this symphony paints with musical means all possible moods in nature.
