Eclectic Voices and conductor Scott Stroman celebrate their 35th anniversary alongside three of their favourite collaborators: Robert Levin, David Dolan and Dame Emma Kirkby.

Pianists Robert Levin and David Dolan – leading exponents of the classical improvisation tradition practised by Mozart and Beethoven – bring their distinctive artistry to a programme that opens with Mozart’s K414 Concerto, performed by Dolan with improvised repeats, eingängeand cadenzas.

After presentations by Levin and Dolan on the role of improvisation in Classical performance – and on the creation, or "cooking", of the expansive fantasy-cadenza that launches Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy – the choir, orchestra, Dame Emma Kirkby and outstanding vocal soloists from Guildhall School join forces for its performance.

Kirkby, celebrated for both her iconic interpretations and her inspirational mentorship of young singers, leads the team of soloists and Eclectic Voices in Mozart’s Coronation Mass, bringing this 35th anniversary celebration to a glorious close.
