Can you enjoy all three of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Or do you have to compromise? The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment explores this question with sublime arias by Mozart and Gluck, sung by Czech soprano Magdalena Kozena.

The concert is constructed in an old-fashioned style, with arias interceding the movements of Mozart’s passionate Symphony no. 40. Sweets songs of love from The Marriage of Figaro are contrasted with the challenges of duty in Mozart’s swansong, La Clemenza di Tito.
