Two ballets—each delicate and luminous—are brought together from two very different worlds to form a single programme. Set to music by Chopin, Dances at a Gathering establishes an air of romanticism, tinged with nostalgia. With Psyché, Alexei Ratmansky draws inspiration from César Franck’s symphonic poem and revisits the realm of the supernatural.
