Mitsuko Uchida and the MCO continue their exploration of Mozart’s piano concertos and the players deliver a polished New York premiere of Jörg Widmann’s Chorale Quartet.

Mozart and 1784 is the basis for this latest OAE venture, an engaging programme that highlights the flawless technique of 18th-century keyboard specialist Kristian Bezuidenhout.

The New York Philharmonic resumed its laudable “Project 19” with a world premiere by Joan Tower, along with a Mozart piano concerto and Dvořák’s Seventh Symphony.

As part of a programme of works by Mozart, Debussy and Stravinsky, conductor Andris Nelsons recently paired up the venerable Gewandhausorchester Leipzig with the fine German pianist, Martin Helmchen.
