El estreno de Iolanta y El castillo de Barbazul, retrasado a causa de la nieve, abrió con un poderoso canto y una escena muy efectiva. Los roles principales en Iolanta destacaron por una interprtación muy bella, mientras que en El castillo de Barbazul sobresalió la ejecución de la orquesta del Met.

Atsuko (Ako) Imamura is a retired investment banker in New York City. Born in Japan, she trained as cultural anthropologist in the US before turning to ﬁnance. She now spends her time attending opera and classical music concerts in New York and in Europe. Wagner is her favorite opera composer.
