Directed by oboist Alfredo Bernadini, Ensemble Zefiro's programme themed around La Follia is thrillingly played, human, edgy and unpredictable. 

In this year's London Festival of Baroque Music, the programme of Austrian Baroque rarities by Swiss-based early music group Les Passions de l’Ame particularly caught my eye.

My sweet course of the sumptuous feast, under the title of the Valletta International Baroque Festival, arrived on 18 January. The fare was a selection of various European deserts, performed by the New Century Baroque at the Jesuit Church in Valletta.

The atmosphere reflected the musicians onstage, full of youth and infused with a breath of new life.

Cantate participative, petit-déjeuner en musique, concert sous les étoiles, bal tzigane et répertoires rares étaient au menu du festival foisonnant organisé par la Cité de la Voix.

Au Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, le contre-ténor livre avec Il pomo d'oro un programme « Alleluja » plus convaincant dans ses pages lentes que dans ses traits virtuoses.

Auch wenn manches im Selbstbewusstsein im Spiegel von Pomp und Dramatik übersetzt hätte werden dürfen, überwog die Anerkennung der feder(kleid)leichten Bögen ungehörter, seltenster Prunkstücke.
