| Alexander Gavrylyuk | Piano |
This concert brings together two extremes. On the one hand, we have the realm of childhood innocence, with Mozart’s vibrant sonata and Tchaikovsky’s Album pour enfants (Children’s Album). On the other hand, there is Prokofiev’s Seventh Sonata, composed in 1942 as part of his War Trilogy. Ukrainian pianist Gavrylyuk knows firsthand what war means.
In his debut for the Muziekgebouw’s Piano series, Alexander Gavrylyuk presents a recital that explores the harshness of the modern world, a theme deeply meaningful to him. A dazzling virtuoso pianist, his technical brilliance is the ideal match for Liszt’s Tarantella and Prokofiev’s sonata.
Tickets: € 12,50 – € 49,00
