The theme of the third day of the festival is the story of the environment. H C Andersen’s beloved story The Little Mermaid is musically and imaginatively interpreted by Alexander Zemlinsky. World-famous cellist Truls Mørk will visit the Berwaldhallen Hall several times this season, but this will be the first, where he’ll perform Ernest Bloch’s beautiful, Hebrew rhapsody, Schelomo. The ocean theme is completed by Debussy’s billowing La Mer. From Vilnius, two young, Lithuanian story-tellers – composer Justė Janulytė and adventure journalist Berta Tilmantaitė – will talk about artistic story-telling, about nature and the environment, led by Sweden’s Radio’s Fredrik Wadström.
