Après Haydn et Schubert interprétés avec une simplicité et un naturel émouvants, le pianiste allemand a époustouflé en associant de manière étonnante mais ô combien convaincante Couperin et Poulenc.

Sous la direction de Christian Zacharias, la formation auvergnate est à son aise dans un programme éclectique, notamment dans Les Illuminations de Britten où s'illustre la voix de Ruby Hugues.

Cette année comme en 2015, le Prix Clara Haskil n'a pas été attribué, malgré l'excellente prestation de Hyelim Kim à Vevey.

Accompagné de l'Orchestre National de Lyon, le pianiste et chef d'orchestre allemand Christian Zacharias emmène le public lyonnais à Vienne, partageant notamment sa grande et belle connaissance du répertoire mozartien.

Concert en noir et blanc de Christian Zacharias, dont la première partie, décevante, ne laissait pas imaginer la seconde partie, qui fut un grand moment de piano.

After an impressive Sunday afternoon of Webern, Schubert, and Brahms, the Bamberg Symphony outdid themselves Monday evening in repertoire by Beethoven and Ives, and another Schubert symphony. Christian Zacharias again joined Maestro Jonathan Nott, this time for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 4.

The Bamberg Symphony played the first of their two concerts at Lincoln Center on Sunday. The program had something of a Viennese bent, with works by Anton Webern (of the Second Viennese School), Schubert (the first of the great Romantics to call the city home), and Brahms (who lived there most of his life).
