Le ballet remonté par Pierre Lacotte en 2001 est un classique du répertoire de l’Opéra de Paris qui permet de voir de nouveaux talents faire leurs preuves sur scène en cette fin d'année. 

Le Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris interprète l’un des plus beaux joyaux de son répertoire : Le Lac des Cygnes, dans la chorégraphie onirique et spirituelle de Rudolf Noureev (1984). Bouleversant par la pureté chorégraphique de ses actes en blancs et son esthétique minimaliste, le Lac des Cygnes apparait encore aujourd’hui comme un chef d’œuvre d’une rare modernité.

Le Lac des Cygnes dans la chorégraphie de Rudolf Noureev est de retour à l’Opéra Bastille. Contrairement à la précédente production qui distribuait beaucoup de jeunes artistes, cette reprise est portée par des artistes plus confirmés, parmi lesquels s’illustrent tout particulièrement le sublime duo formé par Myriam Ould-Braham et Mathias Heymann.

L’American Ballet Theatre inaugure la saison 2016/2017 de l’Opéra de Paris en proposant une nouvelle version de La Belle au Bois Dormant signée en 2015 par Alexei Ratmansky souhaitant restaurer l’esthétique de la chorégraphie de Marius Petipa de 1890.

Ballet classique par excellence, Le Lac des Cygnes est notamment issu des légendes russes et nordiques, où des jeunes femmes sont transformées en cygnes par un sortilège. Cette soirée qui aurait pu atteindre la perfection si la direction musicale avait été plus fine et harmonieuse.
