A semi-staging of Golijov's “tone poem in voices” in Boston's Symphony Hall.

The staging required that the dancers move through and around the musicians, and this intertwining gave the piece a coherent visual identity and a flowing energy. 

The Silk Road Ensemble together with Yo-Yo Ma brings music by composers and performers from all over the world to The Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

The Silk Road Ensemble is not one musical tradition, not one culture, but rather one single point where a multitude of cultures and musical heritages are united and combined. 

Formed under the artistic direction of Yo-Yo Ma, the Silk Road Ensemble, a collective of distinguished performers and composers from more than 20 countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas, took to the stage at Carnegie Hall Wednesday evening. Looking up at Perelman stage, you'd never guess the group was no more than a small ensemble.
