Rachmaninows Drittes Klavierkonzert war bei Nikolai Lugansky in seiner natürlichen Musikalität phänomenal, und mit Skrjabins Zweiter Symphonie erlaubte das Russische Nationalorchester unter Mikhail Pletnev die Begegnung mit selten aufgeführter Spätromantik.
