Performer: Bavarian State Ballet

Widely thought a pinnacle of 20th century dance, John Neumeier’s “Die Kameliendame” ballet recently celebrated its 100th performance at the Bayerisches Staatsoper in Munich.

Patrice Bart's staging of La Bayadère for Bayerisches Staatsballett may have been an unadventurous choice of program to kick off the Hong Kong Arts Festival but nevertheless there was much to admire.

Richard Siegal overwhelms with highly energetic dancing and an overkill of light and sound in Metric Dozen and Model. Superbly performed by dancers of The Bakery and The BayerischeStaatsballett.

With seven new productions under the title "Alles was Recht ist" (All things just) the Bayerische Staatsoper promises an exciting new season.
