A fitting farewell for Leif Ove Andsnes' Rosendal Chamber Music Festival: imaginative programming and excellent performances in an inspiring setting. 

With Jakub Hrůša on the podium and Leif Ove Andsnes at the keyboard, the orchestra offer glowing treatment of a dark program. 

Leif Ove Andsnes brings out the singing line of Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concerto before vocal soloists Kristina Mkhitaryan, Dmytro Popov and Kostas Smoriginas join the London Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra for The Bells. 

The renowned Norwegian pianist talks about Geirr Tveitt – the “Norwegian Bartók” – and his continuing love for Brahms and Schubert, ahead of a recital in Lugano in March.

The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra opened this season with Grieg’s piano concerto together with brilliant soloist Leif Ove Andsnes. The evening was completed with a personal take on Shostakovich’s fifth symphony.
