Sir David McVicar's classic staging of The Magic Flute, now over 20 years old, shines afresh in a stylish performance conducted by Marie Jacquot, making her Covent Garden debut.  

Marie Jacquot makes her BBC Proms debut with great performances of Bizet, Saint-Saëns and Augusta Holmès, while Inmo Yang dazzles in Sarasate. 

The world premiere of Marc-André Dalbavie's Melancholie des Widerstands at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden marks the birth of a new genre – the film-opera – starring conductor Marie Jacquot and Philippe Jaroussky.

Si l'altiste a brillé dans le Concerto de Walton, le reste du programme a paru trop incongru pour permettre à la jeune cheffe Marie Jacquot de se distinguer pour ses débuts à Radio France.
